Rams TE Davis Allen to miss "some time" with quad injury

The Rams are going to be short a tight end for a little while.

Head coach Sean McVay told reporters on Monday that Davis Allen is going to miss “some time” as he recovers from a quad injury. McVay said the team does not want to rush Allen back because of their plans for him this season.

“Davis is going to be a big part of what we do,” McVay said, via Stu Jackson of the team’s website.

Allen played in every game for the Rams last season and made six starts. He had 24 catches for 208 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season.

Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson, and second-round pick Max Klare remain on hand at tight end.
