Xbox Game Pass Offers Up Free Game 7 Days Before It Actually Comes Out

Xbox Game Pass holders have a lot to look forward to this month, with a handful of action and strategy titles coming to PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate. Those with a subscription get a total of 10 free games on Xbox Game Pass in November, with one free game being available early. Most of what’s on offer is worth taking a gander at, but soccer fans have a real treat in store this month.

Gravhounds might be the most obvious new entry on this month’s list of free games on Game Pass, with the demo receiving a lot of fanfare and the game seeing a favorable release on Steam today, but Football Manager 27 is a surprise inclusion to the game roster. Not simply because it’s on the list of Xbox Game Pass games this month, but because PC Game Pass and Ultimate holders specifically gain access to the game a full week early.

Football Manager is the second most popular soccer game franchise after FIFA, so it’s a surprise to see Football Manager 27 among the list of freebies on Microsoft’s subscription service. It’s an even bigger surprise to see it releasing early on Xbox Game Pass. While the game is slated for full release on November 10, those with a PC Game Pass or Ultimate subscription can get into the game’s launch preview on November 3.

The launch preview for Football Manager 27 is only for the PC version of the game. Those hoping to get in early on Xbox Series X|S with Game Pass might find themselves disappointed with the minor delay between PC and console, but this entry promises some new tactical features for managers to fine-tweak their team. The new Tactical Tweaks and Tactical Effectiveness systems promise even deeper refinements to team building than seen in its predecessor.

Alongside the week-early Football Manager 27 launch preview are some other titles Game Pass subscribers might not want to miss. Gravhounds is the first brand-new title on the docket for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC holders, and it’s available as of today. It offers up to four-person co-op action, almost akin to a hybrid of Deep Rock Galactic and Helldivers 2, but with a tower defense focus. If that combination doesn’t sound appealing enough, its namesake delivers: each of the characters are in fact dogs.

Roguelite FPS Void/Breaker will also be rolling out on November 4, which has seen very positive reviews on Steam since its release. Warhammer Survivors, which is a Vampire Survivors clone with characters from both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar as playable champions will be included in Game Pass as of its release on November 10. Arkheron is another to keep an eye on. It is an isometric PvP title with nearly infinite build combos and is set to release on Xbox Game Pass and elsewhere on November 27.

November is set to be an action-packed month for gaming in general, but Xbox Game Pass PC and Ultimate subscribers get some of the best of it for free. Soccer fans in particular will want to check out the free early release of Football Manager 27 on Xbox Game Pass this month.
