Morgan Rogers has questioned the £130m price tag Aston Villa have reportedly placed on him amid interest from Arsenal, quipping: “I’m not sure I’m worth all that!”
Rogers helped Villa win the Europa League in 2025-26, with a 3-0 final victory over Freiburg in Istanbul ending their 44-year wait for continental silverware, since their 1982 European Cup triumph.
The attacking midfielder also scored 10 Premier League goals as Unai Emery’s men finished fourth, their second top-four finish in the last three seasons.
Only Ollie Watkins (19) registered more league goal involvements for Villa in 2025-26 than Rogers.
His fine form won him a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup and has seemingly earned him plenty of admirers, with Arsenal reportedly keen on a transfer.
Reports indicate Villa want £130m – which would eclipse the £116m Manchester City have agreed to pay Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson, a new record for a British player – to consider parting ways with him.
But when that figure was put to Rogers at England’s World Cup training base, he said: “I’m not sure I’m worth all that! Of course, it’s nice to hear that from people.
“But I don’t let outside noise dictate things for me. I’m just going to keep focused, keep being me, keep being the person that got me here and keep trying to improve.
“I don’t really listen to stuff like that.”
Villa are due to face Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on August 12, before opening their 2026-27 Premier League campaign at Brighton on August 23.
Arsenal are then their first visitors to Villa Park next season, travelling to Birmingham on the weekend of August 29 or 30.
