UDUS issues notice to students on hostel verification exercise

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has directed students residing in campus hostels to prepare their relevant hostel documents for an upcoming verification exercise aimed at identifying legal occupants and removing unauthorized residents.

According to the circular released and signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, the management constituted a Hostel Verification Taskforce Committee to verify students occupying campus hostels and eject illegal occupants.

Therefore, the university directed all students residing in the hostels to present relevant hostel documents, including hostel application forms, Remita payment receipts, and authorized clearance documents, for the verification exercise scheduled to take place during the second semester.

The circular further advised students seeking to regularize their hostel records to contact the Office of the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs for proper documentation and payment procedures.

Consequently, the management warned that any student found occupying hostel accommodation without official approval and payment of hostel fees would face disciplinary action.
