Learning Curve Partners with Canva to Expand Business, Enterprise and Higher Education Solutions Across Africa

Learning Curve has partnered with Canva to expand access to its business, enterprise and higher education solutions across Africa, with a focus on helping organisations integrate visual communication and AI-enabled design tools into their everyday operations.

The partnership will see Learning Curve support the adoption of Canva Business, Canva Enterprise and Canva Campus across the continent, providing implementation, training and adoption support to businesses, large organisations and higher education institutions.

The agreement comes as organisations increasingly seek to integrate digital tools into their workflows while ensuring employees have the skills and support needed to use them effectively.

Learning Curve works with organisations across Sub-Saharan Africa to improve productivity, communication, creativity and learning through technology. The addition of Canva expands its offering as presentations, reports, training materials, video and other forms of visual content become increasingly important across workplaces and educational institutions.

Supporting organisations to integrate Canva

Glen Lumley, CEO of Learning Curve, said organisations must look beyond acquiring technology to ensure that new platforms address specific needs and become productive parts of their operations.

“The real value comes from selecting the right solution for the problem, integrating it into the way people work and giving teams the confidence and skills to use it properly,” Lumley said.

He added that Canva provides businesses and educational institutions with additional opportunities to create, communicate and collaborate, while Learning Curve would help customers integrate the platform into their operations.

Under the partnership, Canva Business will support growing organisations with content creation, collaboration and brand management, while Canva Enterprise provides larger organisations with security, administration, governance and brand controls for use across teams.

Canva Campus will serve higher education institutions, with applications spanning teaching and learning, research communication, marketing, student engagement, employability and entrepreneurship.

Lumley said the partnership also reflects changes in how organisations produce and distribute content, with employees across departments increasingly responsible for creating presentations, proposals, reports, internal communications, videos and social media materials.

While this creates opportunities for faster and more effective communication, he noted that organisations can encounter duplicated work, inconsistent branding and fragmented processes when technology, skills and workflows are not properly aligned.

AI adoption increases the need for training and governance

The growing use of AI-enabled tools is adding another dimension to how organisations manage content creation and collaboration, according to Lumley.

He said individual employees, lecturers, students and departments were already using Canva for everyday communication and content development in some organisations. The next step, he explained, is to bring these users into a more coordinated environment where teams can collaborate, access approved brand assets and produce content consistently.

Learning Curve will support customers in identifying suitable applications for Canva, implementing the platform and training employees and other users across departments.

Bianca Sibiya, Canva Africa Lead, said organisations needed more than access to digital tools to realise their full value.

“Access to Canva is only the first step. The real value comes from helping teams use it with confidence and supporting adoption across the organisation,” Sibiya said.

She added that the partnership would provide businesses, enterprises and educational institutions across Africa with local implementation and adoption support.

Canva has more than 260 million monthly active users across 190 countries and supports more than 100 languages, according to figures cited by Sibiya.

The partnership positions Learning Curve to support organisations seeking to incorporate visual communication and collaborative design into their workflows, while helping employees develop the skills needed to use these tools effectively.

For higher education institutions, the offering also creates opportunities to explore applications beyond classroom instruction, including research communication, student engagement, marketing and entrepreneurship.

As organisations across Africa continue to adopt digital and AI-enabled tools, implementation, training and governance will remain important considerations in ensuring that technology supports their operational and educational objectives.
