Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. came out of the eventual 30-23 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, watching as his backup Tua Tagovailioa threw a game-ending interception.
It turned out to be a rib injury, and given how important he’s been to the Falcons since his return, fans want to know: What’s the latest on his injury? Could it be a long-term issue?
As he told Fox 5 in Atlanta, “I’m alright, gotta get some imaging, just make sure I’m all good, but it’s nothing season-ending, so I’ll be good.”
That still doesn’t quite answer if it’s going to be an injury that keeps him out of the Falcons’ next game, but as you can see below, he said he would be and that he would have been back in for overtime “if we had the ball first.”
