Florida WR Baily Stockton heads to medical tent after targeting hit against Ole Miss

Florida football wide receiver Baily Stockton was forced to exit the game in the Gators‘ matchup against Ole Miss.

It was briefly a scary scene for the slot receiver, who struggled to get up after taking a hit to the head. Stockton walked off the field with help from the athletic training staff.

However, Stockton did not leave the sidelines but did enter the medical tent. Stockton had three catches for 24 yards in the game.

The vicious hit came from Ole Miss safety Joenel Arguero, who was ejected for targeting. On the play, the ball was deflected into the air and caught by wide receiver TJ Abrams, setting up a touchdown that extended UF’s lead to 17-3 in the second quarter.

Stockton is the second receiver the Gators could be without. Eric Singleton Jr., who was a game-time decision, did not step on the field.
