Which Cincinnati volleyball teams won district titles on Oct. 31?

Girls volleyball teams claimed district championships across Southwest Ohio on Oct. 31 as the Ohio High School Athletic Association postseason tournaments now march on to regional bouts.

The girls played 26 district final games in the Southwest district across seven divisions.

Which local teams were victorious in those games? See the division-by-division look at the district finals on Oct. 31 and what’s next for the regional rounds. No local volleyball teams played in Division VII.

2026 Division I Southwest Ohio girls volleyball district winners

There were six Southwest District winners in Division I, including undefeated and two-time defending state champion Seton. The Saints improved to 24-0 this year, beating Fairfield 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

Seton’s Girls Greater Catholic League partners St. Ursula and Ursuline Academy also clinched district tournaments. St. Ursula defeated Northmont in straight sets as did Ursuline Academy against Loveland. The Greater Miami Conference will be represented at the regional level after Sycamore swept Lakota East and Mason beat Springboro in four sets.

Centerville defeated Milford in four.

In the Region 2 semifinals at Lakota West on Nov. 4, Seton and Sycamore will get started followed by Centerville and Mason. Neither of those matchups happened in the regular season.

In Region 3, Dublin Coffman and Ursuline Academy will meet first at Springfield followed by Olentangy Orange and St. Ursula.

Division II Southwest Ohio girls volleyball district winners

Three games, three sweeps for Greater Cincinnati schools in Division II.

Mount Notre Dame took care of Troy 25-16, 25-13, 25-14. Harrison beat Anderson 25-20, 25-16, 25-23. Kings beat Colerain 25-12, 25-13, 25-16 to reach the Region 8 semifinals.

No. 2 Harrison and No. 3 Kings will play at Vandalia Butler on Nov. 5. The teams, with a combined 42-5 record, did not meet in the regular season.

Mount Notre Dame will meet Anthony Wayne in a rematch of their state semifinal from a season ago. Anthony Wayne swept the Cougars in the Division II semifinals last season.

Division III Southwest Ohio girls volleyball district winners

In Division III, McNicholas took down Carroll in a sweep. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy beat Tippecanoe and Ross beat Butler in four-set wins. Badin fell to Bellbrook in four sets.

McNicholas, a state runner-up in 2023 and Division IV champion last season, will meet CHCA at Lakota East on Nov. 4. That will follow the Ross and Bellbrook game.

McNicholas and CHCA met in the regular season with McNicholas winning in four sets on Sept. 19. Ross and Bellbrook, Southwestern Buckeye League rivals, are both 23-2 and shared their conference crown after splitting their two regular season meetings.

Division IV Southwest Ohio girls volleyball district winners

Aiming to get back to the state tournament for the first time since finishing as a state runner-up in 2024, the top-seeded Fenwick Falcons defeated Eaton 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

The Falcons will see Wyoming in the Region 15 semifinals at Lakota East on Nov. 5 after the Cowboys took a reverse sweep, five-set victory over Benjamin Logan.

Kenton Ridge nearly defeated Taylor with another reverse sweep, but the Jackets pulled through in the fifth set to win their district. Taylor will Central District champion Johnstown at Lakota East on Nov. 5 following the Fenwick-Wyoming bout.

Division V Southwest Ohio girls volleyball district winners

In Division V, Madeira moved on to the regional semifinals, beating Dayton Christian in four sets, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-17. Madeira will see Arcanum, who beat Miami Valley Christian Academy in a sweep, in the Region 17 tournament at Trent Arena in Kettering on Nov. 5.

Mariemont was dropped by Versailles in straight sets as was Clermont Northeastern against West Liberty-Salem.

Division VI Southwest Ohio girls volleyball district winners

Greater Cincinnati volleyball can cross Division VI off of its list after Cincinnati Country Day lost in four sets to Triad and St. Bernard-Elmwood Place fell in straight sets to Fort Recovery.
