LSU football notched its first SEC win of 2026 and head coach Lane Kiffin’s tenure. The purple and gold blew out Texas A&M 35-6 in Tiger Stadium during Week 4. It puts them in the middle of a crowded conference picture.
The Tigers currently sit in a four-way tie for third place in the SEC. Auburn, Kentucky and Ole Miss also stand at 1-1 alongside the Tigers. The Rebels edged LSU in Week 3 but fell in a lopsided game to Florida, which is one of four undefeated teams in the conference.
Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi State stand alongside the Gators atop the SEC with 2-0 records against conference opponents. Texas, the country’s No. 1 teams, sits in second at 1-0 after opening SEC play with a win at Tennessee. The Volunteers are one of five teams who started the SEC slate 0-1. Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Oklahoma are still searching for their first conference victory.
South Carolina and Texas A&M sit at the bottom of the conference at 0-2. The Aggies, once College Football Playoff hopefuls, dropped contests to unranked Kentucky and the Tigers. The Gamecocks fell to Mississippi State and Alabama.
