Florida State has lost a commitment in their 2027 class. Three-star tight end Connor Winn, who pledged to the program last July, announced on Tuesday via social media that he has decommitted from FSU and reopened his recruitment.
“First off I just want to thank Coach Norvell, Coach Thomsen, and the FSU staff for the hospitality over the last year. With that being said I’m going to open up my recruitment,” Winn said.
Winn is the nation’s No. 1,842 overall player and the No. 92 tight end per 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Florida, he’s the No. 199 player.
Florida State now has 15 commitments in the 2027 cycle with four blue-chip players. Recruiting has been a struggle for the Seminoles over the past few years, and certainly starting the season 2-2 didn’t help them.
If FSU hopes to keep the commitments they jave remaining, they have to start stringing together wins.
