Russell Crowe Triumphs On Streaming Again With Latest Action Thriller

Russell Crowe has triumphed on streaming yet again, as his latest action thriller becomes one of the biggest movies in the world. Crowe’s best movies have included a number of films which have become major hits over the years, the actor continually being involved in various projects across genres. In 2026, this has included multiple movies across various genres, from the crime drama trappings of Netflix’s Unabomber to the sports action drama Beast about an MMA fighter looking to make a comeback. Crowe has lent his talent to a wide swath of genres and stories.

Such is the case with his latest action thriller movie, The Get Out. This unconventional action film stars Crowe as Marco Kapak, a nightclub owner who, after a run-in with gunmen who rob him and a conflict with the cartel, decides to escape his risky business and retire. However, it’s easier said than done, with the many dangers surrounding him starting to close the circle as he desperately tries to hang onto his balance of power. The movie came out on VOD in June 2026, before eventually getting a streaming release.

Now, The Get Out has landed on Paramount+, where it’s made a name for itself as one of the biggest movies in the world. According to data from November 5, 2026, The Get Out is the Number 9 movie on Paramount+ in the United States. This makes it one of the biggest movies on the platform, surpassing the 2007 comedy Norbit and falling just shy of the classic action comedy Rush Hour. Its streaming success globally can be seen on MGM+, where it’s Number 4 in the world, and Prime Video, where it’s Number 14 in the world.

Despite having multiple streaming success locations, The Get Out is only available to watch via Paramount+ in the United States. Its popularity emphasizes clear audience interest in the film, despite initial reactions not being as positive. According to Rotten Tomatoes, reviews for The Get Out average to a 47% with critics, something that implies mixed reviews. However, this hasn’t stopped the film’s performance, and is a testimony to Crowe’s power on streaming.
