Napoli could sell Frank Zambo Anguissa for between €3 million and €5 million in January, with AC Milan following his situation, according to AreaNapoli.
The Cameroon midfielder’s contract expires on June 30, 2027, and Napoli is considering a winter sale to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The report cites Tuttosport for Milan’s interest and says Inter is also following the 30-year-old. Juventus would prefer to wait until the summer and pursue a free transfer.
Sporting director Giovanni Manna would reportedly consider a fee well below the €20 million Napoli sought last summer. Offers of around €10 million from Turkey and Saudi Arabia did not produce a move.
Contract talks have been complicated by Anguissa’s salary expectations. Tuttosport, in a report carried by Videoinformazioni, said he had requested €6 million a year to extend his stay, a demand that cooled Napoli’s enthusiasm for a renewal.
That leaves his next salary as a significant part of any potential deal, even if the transfer fee falls sharply. A buying club would still need to reach an agreement with the player over his own terms.
Juventus has already identified Pierre-Emile Højbjerg as a January midfield target as it seeks experienced cover for Manuel Locatelli. Its reported preference to wait for Anguissa would put the two possible moves on different schedules.
Anguissa made his Napoli debut against Juventus in September 2021 and helped the club win the Serie A title in 2023 and 2025. His first goal for Napoli came in the 4-1 Champions League win over Liverpool in September 2022. He turns 31 in November.
His contract situation comes during a season in which Massimiliano Allegri has already had to manage injuries to Anguissa and Scott McTominay. Both were unavailable before the Champions League opener against Arsenal, leaving the coach short of midfield options.
