The Las Vegas Raiders have to be thrilled with how they’ve started the season. Vegas is 3-1 after four weeks and look great under new head coach Klint Kubiak. Should the Raiders put their foot on the gas and add more talent on offense?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano discussed which teams need to make a trade in their latest article. They debated whether or not the Raiders need to add talent at wide receiver. Graziano made the case for upgrading at the position.

“If players such as Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas Jr., Jerry Jeudy, or Calvin Ridley become available, the Chiefs should poke around. But the other team I think should be turning over whatever rock it can to find wide receiver help is the team Kansas City barely beat on Sunday — the surprising 3-1 Raiders,” Graziano wrote. “Before the season, who would have thought that the Raiders could be adding at the deadline? Tight end Brock Bowers is their top receiver and likely would remain so even if they did get somebody, but Las Vegas would love to have a true X receiver so teams can’t put a top corner such as Surtain on Bowers.”

However, Fowler does not seem to agree that Vegas should feel pressed to make an expensive trade.

“Las Vegas operates in that space between rebuilding and contention,” Fowler argued. “And with only five selections in April’s draft, Vegas could opt to lean on second-year players Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton Jr., who returns soon from injured reserve, to play bigger roles. Also, Bowers basically is a wide receiver, so him as the No. 1 and Tre Tucker as the No. 2 isn’t a bad setup.”

Either way, Vegas should be thrilled to be 3-1 at this point in the season. Perhaps the temptation to add more talent will increase if the Raiders keep winning games. They will have a solid chance to improve to 4-1 this weekend.
