Mike Green says Trey Hendrickson is already elevating his game

Mike Green believes the Ravens added much more than a proven pass rusher when they acquired Trey Hendrickson. Appearing on The Lounge Podcast with Ryan Mink and Clifton Brown, Green spoke glowingly about the veteran edge defender and the influence he’s already having on Baltimore‘s young pass rushers.

“He’s a great player,” Green said. “He’s a great person overall.”

Hendrickson arrives in Baltimore with one of the league’s most productive résumés, but Green said his value extends beyond the numbers.

“I feel like he brings so much value to this defense that a lot of people probably don’t really realize besides the sacks,” Green said.

Green said conversations with Hendrickson have already helped improve his game.

“Everything that we’ve talked about and he’s been coaching me up to this point really helps me elevate my game a lot,” Green said.

The second-year defender believes having a veteran who combines elite production with strong leadership creates a significant advantage for the entire defense.

“When you have somebody like that that’s not just only a great player but is also a great person, it brings a lot more value to your defense,” Green said.

Green also joked about another benefit of lining up opposite one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers.

“For selfish reasons, when they try to slide his side and chip and double-team and do all that stuff to him, it’s going to take a little bit more stress off of me,” Green said with a laugh.

Jokes aside, Green is excited about what Hendrickson’s arrival could mean for Baltimore’s pass rush in 2026.
