Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise (24) has made no mystery of his wish to leave the Bundesliga giants this summer to sign for Real Madrid, L’Equipe understands. Olise’s decision to leave Germany to pursue his career in the Spanish capital has been made months ago. Returning to the Premier League does not interest him.
To help him decide on his future, the London-born Olise took the opportunity of France’s World Cup camp to seek information regarding Real Madrid from the club’s two France internationals: Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni. L’Equipe adds that Mbappé’s strong relationship with Olise could further nudge Real Madrid into pursuing what could be a record-breaking transfer.
On the opposite, Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano lobbied for Olise to reconsider his stance and stay with Vincent Kompany’s squad, arguing that Bayern Munich is the place to be for winning titles in a competitive and fulfilling environment.
