Meet Louisville-area high school boys lacrosse player of the year nominees

The Louisville-area nominees for Courier Journal boys lacrosse athlete of the year delivered on the field throughout the 2026 season.

Voting is underway for The Courier Journal’s boys lacrosse athlete of the year. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday.

Here are the nominees:

Freshman garnered second-team All-State honors after averaging 11.6 saves per game and allowing 6.8 goals per game.

Senior ranked second in the state with 108 goals and added 36 assists.

Senior midfielder was a first-team All-State pick after posting 33 goals and 13 assists.

Junior attacker earned first-team All-State honors after leading the state champion Shamrocks in goals (46) and assists (37).

Senior goalkeeper made 15.9 saves per game and allowed 7.2 goals per game on his way to first-team All-State honors.
