New Zealand will try to salvage some pride when they take on India in the fourth T20I at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, although the series itself has already slipped away from them.

The visitors wrapped up the series in emphatic fashion, as they ran down totals of 226 and 181 at Hagley Oval before chasing 199 in just 13.2 overs in Wellington.

India are still waiting on Ishan Kishan, who has sat out the last two matches with a low-grade right adductor strain. The BCCI’s most recent update indicated that he hadn’t yet recovered full match fitness, so Vaibhav Sooryavanshi should have a free pass again to the XI. 

The home camp has its own selection puzzle to solve. Matt Henry has left the T20I group in order to join the ODI squad, and Lockie Ferguson didn’t play in Wellington, but he is expected to return for the final two matches of the series.
