The Chargers return to the field this Sunday for their Week 8 matchup against the Rams.
Los Angeles had a bye in Week 7 and will look to get their first win of the season this Sunday.
The Chargers are huge road underdogs in this matchup; however, they will take on the hobbled Rams without their best player.
Rams head coach Sean McVay announced on Wednesday that edge rusher Myles Garrett will not practice this week. With that being the case, Garrett will be out for the seventh consecutive game.
Garrett underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee after Week 1 and has been on the injured reserve since. He’ll be back in the lineup next Sunday when they take on the Commanders.
Garrett is one of a handful of key players who will miss the Chargers contest, including Davante Adams, Terrance Ferguson, Kobie Turner, and Poona Ford, to name a few.
The Rams are one hobbled team, but the Chargers are too.
The Bolts also have several key players missing Sunday’s contest, including Derwin James (who could hit the IR with a hamstring injury), Alec Ingold, Denzel Perryman, Trevor Penning, Rashawn Slater, Trey Pipkins III, and David Njoku, to name a few.
The Chargers and Rams carried enormous expectations heading into the season, and both have fallen flat. More so the Bolts; however, the Rams, who came into the season with overwhelming Super Bowl odds, sit at 3-4 and three games back in their division.
