As hot AI startups dominate the scene, small checks are being replaced by multi-million dollar investments.

Seed rounds may now total a billion dollars or more.Alongside the Seed 100, Business Insider also publishes the Seed 40, which specifically highlights successful women investors.

Both lists include investors who have made at least 5 active investments between 2011 and 2026 and whose companies have gone public, been acquired, and/or attracted additional rounds of funding.The lists are compiled using data analysis supplied by Termina, a software platform spun out of Tribe Capital.So who landed on this year's Seed 100 and Seed 40?
