India will be without the services of Hardik Pandya in the upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan. According to Indian newspaper, The Times of India, the all-rounder has been ruled out due to a quadricep strain.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are yet to name his replacement.
After the one-off Test, India are set to take on Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series, starting June 14.
The series will mark the start of a busy white-ball schedule for the Men in Blue in the second half of 2026 as India prepares for the next ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to happen in Africa in 2027.
On Saturday, the BCCI had announced that Virat Kohli had pulled out of the ODI series against Afghanistan due to a hamstring injury he picked up during RCB’s title-run. Yashasvi Jaiswal has replaced him in the ODI squad.
