The Owls enter Year 2 under head coach Jerry Mack after a remarkable turnaround that ended with the program capturing the 2025 Conference USA title. Kennesaw State brings back an experienced defense led by CUSA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Baron Hopson, while Syracuse transfer Rickie Collins is set to take over at quarterback as the Owls begin their title defense.
West Georgia already has one game under its belt, falling 24-10 to Chattanooga in its season opener on August 27. The Wolves now make the short trip to Kennesaw for the first-ever football meeting between the two Georgia programs. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Thursday, September 3, with the game streaming on ESPN+.
