Naomi Osaka recently shared a heartfelt message for her fans after her China Open loss, revealing that she was looking forward to returning home to spend time with her three-year-old daughter, Shai.
Osaka’s China Open campaign ended on Tuesday after she suffered a three-set loss to seventh seed Karolina Muchova in the round of 16 at Lotus Court. The match lasted 2 hours and 52 minutes, with the Japanese star establishing early leads in two sets that she ultimately lost.
Shortly after the defeat, Osaka took to Threads to share a mature response to the loss, revealing that she was looking forward to seeing her daughter.
“I’ve seen some people say they’re gutted for me, please don’t be sad! My life is a blessing, I’m literally going to fly back home- see my beautiful daughter and spend my birthday with my family for the first time in years. I tried my best, and I’ll have an opportunity to try again in Tokyo, it’ll be alright!” Naomi Osaka wrote.
