Programme Details

The Federal Government plans to train 5,000 young Nigerians through the Power Force Programme. Participants will receive technical training delivered by the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and earn certification from the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) upon successful completion.

The programme is designed to help address Nigeria’s metering gap while equipping young people with practical skills that can lead to sustainable careers in the power sector.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 35 years.
  • Have a science background with at least an SSCE certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Be an NYSC member or a student of a technical or vocational institution (eligible applicants).
  • Have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Be physically and mentally fit.
  • Be willing to work in the power sector.
  • No previous experience is required, as successful applicants will receive training.
