Manchester City manager, Enzo Maresca, has insisted that there is no tension or anxiety in the dressing room, after the club was found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s financial rules.
In a interview posted by the club on Thursday, Maresca claimed the players are excited to play again after the international break.
“The feeling is fantastic, to be honest! The players are excited for the next two games,” he said.
“But especially because, in this moment, we are top of the league, so the players are just focused on that.
“Our players here at Manchester City know what we can control; the football side.
“They’re not worried at all about different things.”
City have appealed the verdict and if it is upheld, they could face points deduction or relegation from the topflight.
