The 55-year-old’s last game in charge of City will be this weekend’s Premier League home clash with Aston Villa.

However, it appears Guardiola wanted to delay the announcement for as long as possible.

It is understood that Guardiola is angry with the leak and had to summon his squad in a late night group call.
