The Presidents Cup was won by the United States on Sunday for the 14th time in the 16th edition of the competition.
The Internationals put up a real fight, but the chasm in quality was obvious to see during the Sunday singles at Medinah.
The Americans won the singles 9.5-2.5 and ended up winning by a comfortable 17-13 scoreline, despite heading into the final day trailing by three points.
The Presidents Cup was actually really exciting to watch throughout the week.
However, there is a very clear issue regarding the lack of competitiveness.
Now Brandel Chamblee has offered two potential solutions to that specific problem.

Chamblee was seriously impressed by the performances of the American players on Sunday at Medinah.
However, the golf analyst told The Golf Channel how the Presidents Cup is simply an unfair fight stacked in the United States’ favor.
“They need to start the Presidents Cup on Friday and reduce the number of points,“ Chamblee said.
“As I said at the beginning of the week, reduce it to 24. If they are playing for 28 in the Ryder Cup, why are they playing for 30 in the Presidents Cup, when there is a bigger separation in the talent?
“If it was just 24 points and you needed 12 1/2 to get to a victory, Im would have secured the Presidents Cup for the Internationals side.
“The first three Presidents Cup were started on Friday and if you go back and combine the points from 94, 96 and 98 they were dead even through those three, despite the big differential.“
Brandel Chamblee wants LIV players allowed to compete at the Presidents Cup
The golf analyst insisted that the competition would be more closely-fought if LIV golfers were allowed to play.
“Also give the International side autonomy to choose who they want,” Chamblee insisted.
“You telling me they wouldn’t have chosen some LIV players to be on this team? Cameron Smith, Lucas Herbert, Joaquin Niemann?
“There is no point in this going for four days. The longer you draw it out the more the better team is going to come to the fore, as was evidenced today.“
It is certainly something that the PGA Tour should consider. There is no doubt that the International team would be stronger with the likes of Cam Smith, Lucas Herbert and Joaquin Niemann.
Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau is perhaps the only player who would strengthen the US team.
The inclusion of LIV golfers along with a shorter format would undoubtedly even up the playing field at the Presidents Cup.
