Iowa State backup quarterback Connor Moberly started the second half for the Cyclones on Saturday at Arizona, replacing starter Jaylen Raynor.
Raynor was 8-of-10 for 106 yards in the first half, but the Cyclones offense was generally ineffective. Raynor also had an ill-advised lateral pass to Aiden Flora at the end of the first half that coaches certainly didn’t approve of.
Iowa State tallied one first down in Moberly’s drive to open the second half before punting. Moberly also played some in the first half. He was 1-for-4 for 12 yards after that first drive of the second half.
