2027: Osun APC names Oyebamiji campaign DG, constitutes committee

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has appointed the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, as Director-General of its 2027 Presidential and Parliamentary Campaign Committee.

The appointment announced in a statement signed by the state chairman of the party, Tajudeen Lawal. The statement announced the constitution of the campaign committee and an Elders’ Council.

According to the statement, the appointments followed the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council by President Bola Tinubu in Abuja on October 14, 2026, and the subsequent inauguration of the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council by Governor Ademola Adeleke on October 22.

The party said the committees were established to strengthen its campaign activities and mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.

Lawal explained that the party had carefully selected its leaders and members across Osun State to ensure victory for the President and APC candidates contesting National and State Assembly seats.

He said, “We consider it extremely important to therefore bolster the efforts of the PCC to deliver massive votes for the re-election of our President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), in the forthcoming general elections.”

Lawal said the APC was committed to working in unity with members of the existing State Presidential Campaign Council to achieve its electoral objectives.

“As a party, we are resolute to work in unison with every member of the State Presidential Campaign to deliver on our mandate as we muster concerted efforts to ensure victory for all the National and State Assemblies candidates of our great party,” he added.
