WWE Power Rankings entering September, 2026

Hello everybody, and welcome back to another week of the WWE‘s Men’s Power Rankings. With Sunday Night’s Main Event upcoming this weekend, you can bet we’re going to have some storylines to talk about this week.

That means we’ll have the best slams and future thoughts for some of these matches in this article. Also, with WWE’s fall schedule about to amp up, you’ll have to stay tuned to this article as we approach Survivor Series late this November.

That being said, let’s get to this week’s list and see how these stories have unfolded since last week. Have a great day, everyone, and may the slams be with you.

After appearing on AAA’s PLE this weekend, Penta was ready to go to war with Rey Fenix on RAW, in the final for the Number One Contender’s tournament. Penta ended up winning the match, which led to Roman Reigns coming out for a face-off. After the two stared at each other for a bit, they ended up going their separate ways, peacefully.

Baron Corbin didn’t do much last week, but he was seen in the backstage area talking with Trick Williams. There were words said between the two; however, there was no physical confrontation this week. Of course, this week Corbin has a match with Lil Yachty as part of the agreement with Williams from last week. 

Chad Gable came out to cut a promo on Monday, which included congratulating the Mexican people and Dragon Lee. That’s when Ethan Page decided he had heard enough, and interrupted our Intercontinental Champion.

After Lee and Page went back and forth, Gable offered the winner a shot against him for the IC Championship.

Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso were jumped in the backstage area of RAW this week by Royce Keys, and the OTMs. After a small advantage, Keys and the OTMs were sent packing once Jacob Fatu showed up to even the odds. Going forward, this is setting up beautifully for War Games this November. YEET!

Kevin Owens decided it was his turn for a promo this week, and after a really cool vignette, he made his way to the ring. This, of course, led to Gunther and Finn Balór coming out to run their mouths. That didn’t last long because all three were booked for a match that night, which ended up as a no contest.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins slips to fifth on this list after losing to Roman Reigns in the Main Event at SummerSlam. Since then, Rollins has cut some promos and gone face to face with a few wrestlers, but for now, it looks like Rollins will be back this week to address Gunther, who seems to have become a thorn in his side. Even this week, Rollins is still off TV, which means that the WWE is testing him out for the Money in the Bank PLE. 

Oba Femi had the night off, so Paul Heyman came out to give us some hype for this highly anticipated match between Femi and Bron Breakker. Not only did Heyman sell this match even more, but it truly shows how special he is and why the WWE is at the top of the food chain when it comes to wrestling promotions.

Cody Rhodes cut a promo on Friday Night Smackdown where he talked about his recent rumblings about Randy Orton.

That’s when the Viper showed up to voice the voices in his head. After great points were made by both wrestlers, both chose to walk away from this discussion without violence. Violence that will come to light this Sunday.

C.M. Punk made his presence felt last week on Smackdown by waiting till Sami Zayn showed up in the Triple-Threat match between Owens, Gunther, and Balór.

That’s when the straight-edge superstar made his move by attacking Zayn relentlessly. I thought this feud between the four wrestlers was already solved, but apparently, we have the next batch of storylines for the WWE loaded up.

Roman Reigns takes over as the number one, pound-for-pound wrestler in the world. Reigns had an easy week this week, from cutting promos to staredowns with Penta. However, his showdown with L.A. Knight was one for the ages.

Knight brought up that Reigns needs to come up with new material, and that he’s looking forward to finally getting in the ring with him, and not his family. This feud just keeps getting hotter every week, and I can’t wait to see the culmination.
