We finally made it. It feels like an eternity since the Super Bowl back in February, but football is finally back. This also means that fantasy football is back, too. Weeks of looking at rankings, mapping out who you want to draft from which position, and endless mock drafts will be coming to a head soon, as our league drafts take place leading up to September 9th. One of the biggest things we research is potential sleepers, and Bleacher Report has you covered.
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report recently came out with a new ranking for sleepers and bust candidates for 2026, and Buckley listed quarterback Kyler Murray as a sleeper to target. Here is what he had to say:
“If Murray is the starter (and stays healthy), he could push for top-10 status among fantasy quarterbacks given his rushing ability and chances to make plays in a passing game overseen by Kevin O’Connell and supplemented by playmakers like Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings.”
No, Murray should not be targeted as your QB1 for fantasy football. However, if you left your draft with Murray as your QB2 or even a QB3, depending on your league, you should be happy. He is a flier for sure, as he is entering a completely new system, but new weapons and the potential to stay healthy could bring back the Murray of old.
