The Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey program has five skaters who will be representing USA Hockey in the Collegiate Select Series.
This year’s edition is set to take place on August 12-15, and will feature a three-game series between the U.S. and Canada.
Kelly Gorbatenko, Cassie Hall, Ava McNaughton, Laney Potter, and Maggie Scannell were all selected, the university announced on Monday, August 10.
In other exciting news, Ava Murphy, Rosalie Tremblay, and Emma Venusio have been selected to Canada’s 2026 National Women’s Development Team.

With the Professional Women’s Hockey League going through such a historic rise, it’s great to see so many Badgers thriving and also have a place to play at the next level.
For now, though, all eyes remain laser-focused on the upcoming 2026-27 season, one that sees legendary head coach Mark Johnson look to do something that’s never been done in Madison, and that’s win a third straight National Championship.
