Updated Jaguars depth chart on offense after 6 training camp practices

The Jacksonville Jaguars now have six training camp practices under their belts. So given what we have learned, what does the offensive depth chart currently look like?

There is still time for players to make a push for playing time or a roster spot with several weeks of practices and three preseason games remaining. However, one week in, things are taking shape as well within each position group.

Here is where we believe things stand for the offense.

  • Trevor Lawerence
  • Nick Mullens
  • Carter Bradley
  • Joey Aguilar

Aguilar and Bradley are battling for the third quarterback spot, which will be on the practice squad. Bradley has a year of experience on Liam Coen’s offense working in his favor.

  • Bhayshul Tuten
  • Chris Rodriguez
  • LeQuint Allen
  • Ameer Abdullah
  • DeeJay Dallas
  • J’Mari Taylor

From a roster math standpoint, the Jaguars probably keep three running backs. That said, the team did roster four for much of last year. As of now, Ameer Abdullah seems to be the fourth back on the depth chart. He can help out on the return game as well.

  • Brian Thomas Jr.
  • Parker Washington
  • Jakobi Meyers
  • Travis Hunter
  • CJ Williams
  • Josh Cameron
  • Tim Jones
  • Austin Trammell
  • Trebor Pena
  • Chandler Brayboy
  • Brady Boyd
  • Michael Wortham

If there was any doubt coming into training camp about Williams and Cameron’s position in the wide receiver room, the two rookies have erased any doubt with their performances. Veterans and special teams contributors Tim Jones and Austin Trammell are likely on the outside looking in. The Jaguars may try to get at least one of them to the practice squad.

  • Brenton Strange
  • Nate Boerkircher
  • Tanner Koziol
  • Quintin Morris
  • Hunter Long
  • Patrick Herbert
  • Ethan Conner

In terms of opportunities, Koziol appears to be ahead of Morris on the depth chart. I also have Morris over Long currently because of his ability as a blocker and to contribute to multiple special teams phases.

  • Cole Van Lanen
  • Ezra Cleveland
  • Robert Hainsey
  • Patrick Mekari
  • Anton Harrison
  • Walker Little
  • Wyatt Milum
  • Jonah Monheim
  • Chuma Edoga
  • Emmanuel Pregnon
  • Ricky Lee
  • Jerome Carvin
  • Killian Zierer
  • Jimto Obidegwu
  • Garrett DiGiorgio
  • Sam Mustipher

A few things to watch here — with Van Lanen still sidelined, the Jaguars have been experimenting with Harrison at left tackle and Little at right tackle. At right guard, Milum appears to be pushing Mekari for playing time. Lastly, if the Jaguars roster nine linemen as they did last year, Edoga may be left off the final 53-man. Little can play both tackle spots off the bench, while Milum and Pregnon are backups at guard. Milum has tackle experience as well.
