UNILAG Appoints Dr. Aliu Soyingbe as Sub-Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies

The University of Lagos (University of Lagos) has appointed Dr. Aliu A. Soyingbe as the new Sub-Dean of its School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS).

Dr. Soyingbe, a lecturer in the Department of Building under the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, was appointed following the approval of the SPGS Board of Studies.

According to the university, the appointment takes effect from Saturday, August 1, 2026, and will remain valid until Saturday, July 31, 2027.

The appointment is expected to strengthen the administration of postgraduate programmes at the institution as the School of Postgraduate Studies continues its mandate of coordinating advanced teaching, research, and academic development.

Congratulating the new Sub-Dean, the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, extended the goodwill of the university community to Dr. Soyingbe and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver impactful leadership during his tenure.

The university also wished him a successful and productive tenure as he assumes his new responsibilities at the School of Postgraduate Studies.
