Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has pledged to cover the outstanding relocation expenses of Blessing, a First-Class Mathematics graduate of University of Ilorin, following her admission into a fully funded Master’s programme in Italy.
Saraki made the commitment after coming across Blessing’s social media post detailing her inspiring academic journey and the financial challenge of relocating despite securing full funding for her postgraduate studies.
Commending her remarkable feat, the former Senate President described her academic accomplishments as a reflection of the brilliance, resilience, and potential of young Nigerians. He noted that earning a First-Class degree in Mathematics and securing admission to a fully funded Master’s programme abroad was a testament to her dedication and hard work.
Emphasising the importance of supporting deserving students, Saraki said no young person who had worked tirelessly to attain academic excellence should have their dreams hindered by relocation costs.
He subsequently pledged to cover the remaining expenses required for Blessing’s relocation to Italy, ensuring that financial constraints would not stand in the way of her educational aspirations.
Saraki also revealed that Nancy, a member of his office, would reach out to Blessing to coordinate the necessary arrangements for the support.
Congratulating the young scholar, he wished her success in her postgraduate studies and urged her to continue striving for excellence while making Nigeria proud on the global stage.
