Tom Brady as next Michigan football coach rumors are totally fake

No, the rumors about Tom Brady being considered as the next Michigan football coach are NOT true.

Search traffic online soared Tuesday, Oct. 28, after a meme account that poses as a college football reporter with the name “Shane Tuttle” posted that Tom Brady’s private plane had landed in Ann Arbor and he was “rumored to meet with Michigan President Domenico Grasso” about becoming Michigan football’s next coach.

None of it is true, and you don’t have to do too much research to figure that out.

Here’s what Tuttle’s bio says: “Everything I do is Satire | College Sports Podcaster | Ex-Husband | Proud Montana State alum | Not impersonating and not affiliated with NCAA.”

While it hasn’t been sunshine and rainbows for first year coach Kyle Whittingham in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines are not currently in the market for a new head coach as they sit 4-3 with five games still remaining.

But that didn’t stop the rumor from taking hold.

Tuttle has cultivated a following by posting timely rumors just as the stories are starting to bubble up, often with a “too crazy to be true” twist to get people’s attention.

His most recent post before the Brady-Michigan football one claimed that ESPN College GameDay co-host Pat McAfee will no longer take his shirt off on the show – and will instead take his pants off.

Unfortunately in today’s social media landscape, Tuttle fools more people than you might think, with the “blue checkmark” on X, that used to go to certified accounts and now is available to anyone who purchases them, helping out significantly.
