Three soldiers hospitalized after road crash along Abuja–Koton Karfe route

Three soldiers have been hospitalised after a road accident involving a military vehicle and a truck along the Abuja–Koton Karfe highway.

The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday.

According to the report, the accident occurred on June 17 along the Jamata–Koton Karfe–Abuja road in Kogi State while troops were on duty.

Sources said the soldiers, who are part of the 12 Brigade deployed in the Pipeline area of Agboja, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

“They were immediately taken to a medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment and responding well.

“The military vehicle involved in the accident has since been recovered and moved to the Patrol Base in Gegu for further assessment,” Makama added.

Authorities have also begun investigating the cause of the accident.

No lives were lost in the incident.
