The Boston Celtics Las Vegas Summer League team was better than you think. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the “First to the Floor” podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney, who took some time on a recent episode of their show to take a look back at the Sin City Celtics and what they managed to put together in the NBA’s annual summer exhibition series.
They get into the pleasant surprises of rookies Chris Cenac Jr. and Dillon Mitchell, as well as the bigger role taken on by second-year forward Hugo Gonzalez. They even get into some of the deeper cuts of the unsigned standouts with the Summer Celtics.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about why this version of the Sin City Celtics was better than their final record might have made you think.
