Taraba Gov Kefas redeploys four commissioners in cabinet reshuffle

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has approved the immediate redeployment of four commissioners as part of a cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of his administration and improving service delivery.

The redeployment was contained in a press release dated August 26, 2026 and signed by the Secretary to the Taraba State Government, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps.

Under the new arrangement, Peter George has been moved from the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry to the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs.

Similarly, Daniel Ishaku has been redeployed from the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs to the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation.

Bernard Shonzen James Kassa is to move from the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services.

Completing the changes, Philip Habu James has been redeployed from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services to the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.

The redeployment, according to the statement, takes immediate effect.

Governor Kefas congratulated the affected commissioners and wished them success in their new responsibilities.

The latest reshuffle, according to the governor, is expected to reposition the ministries for more effective implementation of government policies and programmes, while reinforcing the administration’s drive for development and improved service delivery across Taraba State.
