Sixers legend Allen Iverson makes 51st birthday post to himself

Sunday marks the 51st birthday of Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson. The 6-foot guard from Georgetown tailored one amazing NBA career. In 14 years in the league, Iverson was a 4-time scoring champ, a 3-time steals champ, an 11-time All-Star, a 7-team All NBA Teamer, and won the MVP award in 2001 while leading the Sixers to the finals.

In 12 years with the Sixers, Iverson averaged 27.6 points and 6.1 assists along with 3.9 rebounds. He won the MVP award in 2001 when he led the Sixers to the finals and was able to throw the franchise on his bony shoulders on numerous occasions. He also made an impact with the Denver Nuggets, played 54 games for the Detroit Pistons, and had a cup of coffee with the Memphis Grizzlies.
