A beloved era of Blade Runner officially returns next month, and most notably, it will continue a previous franchise storyline, giving fans more content from a chapter that has already proven a hit rather than launching something completely new and untested.
The countdown has officially begun for Titan Comics’ Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus – Die With Honor #1, the first installment in a planned four-part miniseries. Writer Nancy A. Collins, artist Mariano Taibo, and colorist Marco Lesko will bring Die With Honor to life as the latest installment in Titan Comics’ Tokyo Nexus comic storyline, which follows Mead, a former human marine, and Stix, a combat-model Replicant.
If you haven’t dived into the Tokyo Nexus storyline yet, catch up on the series before the November 4, 2026, release of Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus – Die With Honor #1 for the best reading experience. Readers should start with the four-issue Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus (2024), which reintroduces Mead and Stix as they return to Tokyo after being betrayed on an off-world mission. From there, readers can move on to Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus – To Lose Is to Win (2026), another four-issue miniseries that continues their story.
Once fans catch up on all eight issues of Tokyo Nexus and To Lose Is to Win, they’ll be ready for the first 32-page issue of Die With Honor, available for $4.99 when it releases on November 4, 2026.

While most fans discovered their love for the franchise through Ridley Scott’s 1982 film Blade Runner and its sequel, Blade Runner 2049, movie lovers shouldn’t let the change in medium keep them from exploring this expansion. Rather than being a direct prequel, sequel, or simple adaptation of previously told Blade Runner stories, Tokyo Nexus offers an entirely new story set within the franchise’s iconic universe.
Although this series isn’t a continuation of the movies or a return to the big screen, it expands the franchise’s iconic world by setting its story in Japan. So, if you love the core themes that define Blade Runner but wanta completely new story with new characters and a new setting, this is the series for you. This is especially true for fans of science fiction and crime-thriller storytelling, as Tokyo Nexus focuses on a Yakuza turf war, a murder investigation, and corporate assassinations, bringing a noir detective element to the futuristic setting that defines Blade Runner.
The official synopsis for Titan Comics’ Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus – Die With Honor can be found below in its entirety:
