Serena, Venus Williams reunite for US Open doubles. When do they play?

Serena and Venus are back together again.

The Williams sisters have received a wild card entry into the 2026 U.S. Open Women’s Doubles tournament, setting the stage for another appearance by one of tennis’ most successful doubles teams.

Serena and Venus have a long history at the U.S. Open in Flushing, New York. They have teamed up in the women’s doubles draw nine times since 1997. Together, they own a 27-7 record in the tournament and captured U.S. Open doubles titles in 1999 and 2009.

The USTA’s announcement on Aug. 26 comes days after Serena returned to the spotlight in the U.S. Open Mixed Doubles. Playing alongside Carlos Alcaraz, Serena advanced to the quarterfinals before the pair’s run came to an end.

Now, Serena and Venus will reunite on one of tennis’ biggest stages, adding another chapter to their storied partnership at the U.S. Open. Their appearance is expected to be one of the most anticipated storylines of this year’s women’s doubles tournament.

The 2026 U.S. Open women’s doubles tournament begins Sept. 3, with the championship match on Sept. 11. The draw is scheduled for Sept. 1.
