Roma not interested in Gudmundsson despite transfer links

With just under 12 hours left before the transfer window closes, Roma are searching for a left winger to complete Gasperini’s attack.

The Grugliasco-born coach, satisfied after the 0-4 win over Lecce, is looking for another player with different characteristics who can raise the bar for his attack, spearheaded by Malen and Dybala.

In recent hours, after failing to secure Leweling’s opening midfielder despite an agreement between Roma and Stuttgart, Gudmundsson has been linked with the option.

The Fiorentina striker finished last season with 2,782 minutes of play, 10 goals and 6 assists, in all competitions. The 1997-born player is leaving Fiorentina just hours before the transfer window closes.

As Alfredo Pedullà reports, if the player moves to the capital, he won’t wear the Giallorossi jersey, as he isn’t part of the club’s plans.

The Icelandic winger, however, could move to Lazio, a move that remains open, given that the 1997-born player has already turned down another Serie A club.
