It will still take a long time before the Los Angeles Rams get star wide receiver Davante Adams back in action, as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
But at least the Rams got some good news regarding a procedure Adams recently had to address his injury.
“Sean McVay said Davante Adams had successful clean out surgery on his hamstring and ‘it’s probably closer to the shorter term’ of the 6-10 week timeline for Adams,” Rams writer Stu Jackson shared via a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).

The 33-year-old Adams suffered the injury during the Rams’ 18-16 loss at home at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals, in which he recorded only 39 receiving yards on three catches. The Rams have already bounced back from that loss by defeating Kirk Cousins and the Las Vegas Raiders in a Week 7 game on Sunday to the tune of a 35-21 score, but LA surely is missing the services of the six-time Pro Bowl wideout Adams.
Despite Adams’ absence, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford managed to toss three touchdowns against an interception in the Raiders game, going 23-of-29 overall with his throws. Puka Nacua led the team downfield with 68 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Davis Allen caught the other two touchdown passes from Stafford.
On injured reserve, Adams will still have to miss at least three more games, as the Rams try to find a way to keep producing on offense without him.
