Scotland warmed up for their return to the World Cup in style with four first-half goals to thrash Bolivia 4-0 in New Jersey on Saturday.

Lawrence Shankland, Scott McTominay and Che Adams with a double were on target for Steve Clarke’s men.

Scotland are a week away from their first appearance at a World Cup in 28 years against Haiti.

Clarke named a close to full strength side and got the morale-boosting performance and result he would have wanted.

Shankland made his case to start against Haiti with a third goal in the past two games by heading in Andy Robertson‘s cross on five minutes.
