All or nothing. That’s basically it for Notre Dame football as it prepares to host top-ranked and undefeated Miami (Fla.) on Saturday night. Win and the Irish likely waltz into a College Football Playoff spot. Lose, and, well, let’s not go there just yet.
We discuss what this game means for Notre Dame, for Marcus Freeman, for CJ Carr, for the future of the program and all of mankind. Losing, at least from a South Bend perspective, cannot be an option regardless of whether Miami will have the services of all-world wideout Malachi Toney, who apparently has an ankle issue.
Speaking of the Hurricanes, we talk with our guest, Joe Zagacki, the long-time radio voice of Miami football. What makes the Hurricanes better than the team Notre Dame saw last season? What makes Toney so good? What about their defense? And will Hurricane fans find their way to South Bend, or will it feel too much like the North Pole?
We close our show with predictions (you may not like one) and hot takes for what will be a cold night at Notre Dame Stadium. Will it be a fun night, as Marcus Freeman said of this game? Stay tuned.
