Pirates minor league report: Termarr Johnson suffers serious-looking injury

This article originally appeared on PGHBaseballNOW.

Pirates second base prospect Termarr Johnson exited Saturday’s game against Iowa in the fourth inning with what looked to be a serious injury.

Johnson stumbled awkwardly after running out a grounder to first base and clutched his left leg. He was taken off the field on a cart and had an air cast on his leg as he exited the field.

Johnson suffered a left knee injury but is undergoing tests to determine the severity. If the injury keeps him sidelined for the rest of the season, it will be a bitter end to a disappointing year for the 2022 first-round draft pick.
