Set against the picturesque, small industrial town of Jamshedpur in the year 1980, the story follows Vedant (Delzad Hiwale), a simple 10th-grade student at Loyola School. Vedant is at that awkward, transitional stage of life where he is no longer a child, but not yet an adult. His world revolves around trying to survive his upcoming board exams, steering clear of his aggressive neighborhood rival Ratan, and trying everything in his power to win the heart of his classmate, Jenny (Apoorva Arora).
However, Vedant's life turns upside down right before the festival of Holi. His world-weary parents—a dedicated school teacher mother (Tanvi Azmi) and a strict Tata Steel engineer father (Sachin Khedekar)—are already stressed about his lack of focus on studies. Things get more complex when Vedant's elder brother, Vidur (Sohail Lakhani), who is deaf, returns home after four years at a hostel in Delhi. Between sibling jealousy, parental expectations, miscommunications, and the bittersweet stings of first love, Vedant's life begins to resemble a piece of bubble gum—malleable and fun to blow into a bubble, but incredibly messy when it pops!
