Patriots vs. Bills inactives: Pats finally get good news ahead of Week 4

The New England Patriots have finally gotten some good injury news. After already having to rule out two of their most valuable players — cornerback Christian Gonzalez and defensive tackle Christian Barmore — they did not have to deactivate any other starters ahead of their Week 4 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

All of their six questionables entering Sunday will be good to go. Fullback Reggie Gilliam (knee), tight end Eli Raridon (thigh), offensive tackle Morgan Moses (foot), outside linebacker Dre’Mont Jones (shoulder), off-ball linebacker Christian Elliss (chest), and safety Craig Woodson (shoulder) are all part of the game-day roster and expected to play sizable snaps at their respective positions.

As for their inactives, they look as follows:

  • QB3 Behren Morton

  • TE Tanner Arkin

  • OT Dametrious Crownover

  • DT Christian Barmore

  • CB Christian Gonzalez

  • CB Channing Canada

The Patriots entered Sunday with three players already ruled out. The aforementioned Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and Christian Barmore (shoulder) were joined on the inactives list on Saturday by another cornerback, Channing Canada (hamstring). Missing Gonzalez and Barmore in particular will be a blow to New England’s defense given that both are starters and among the best players their positions have to offer in the league right now.

As for the other inactives, they are all healthy scratches and emergency options at this point in their careers.

  • WR Skyler Bell
  • OT Jude Bowry

  • DT T.J. Sanders

  • ED Mike Danna

  • CB Christian Benford

  • S Jalon Kilgore

The Bills had just two players listed on their injury report on Friday, including one — running back Ray Davis (hamstring) — who was deemed ready to go. The same is not true for the team’s top cornerback: Christian Benford will miss the game with a toe injury, meaning that neither club will have its CB1 available on Sunday.

Kickoff between the Patriots and Bills at Highmark Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
