The gripping story revolves around Shaukat Vashisht (Sanjay Dutt), an elite, wealthy author who once reached the pinnacle of fame by winning the prestigious Booker Prize. He decides to write a highly realistic story about a fictional character named Tamanna, using his beautiful, devoted school-lecturer wife Antara (Aishwarya Rai) as his real-life muse. Shaukat starts observing her every move with clinical precision and soon discovers that a charming, lively young colleague named Yash Agnihotri (Zayed Khan) has fallen deeply in love with her.
Seeing the perfect plot, Shaukat's obsession turns sinister. He actively forces Antara to conceal her marriage and reciprocate Yash's advances just so he can document her organic reactions for his book. Shockingly, reality begins to mirror his pages—whatever Shaukat writes down starts coming true. The lines between fiction and reality blur completely when Antara actually develops genuine feelings for Yash, trapping her in a web of guilt.
