The Milwaukee Brewers are enjoying a day off after sweeping the Chicago Cubs at home in American Family Field to begin the week. Now 10 games ahead of their biggest rivals in the National League Central Division, the Brewers are looking to keep their foot on the gas as they push for the first 100-win season in franchise history.
There were many players who came up in large moments during their last series. That being said, none was as dominant as left fielder Jackson Chourio. He homered in each of the final two games against Chicago and had eight total hits in the series.
His stolen base on Wednesday night also put him in some elite company in the annals of baseball history.

So far this season, Chourio is hitting .290/.346/.491 with 23 home runs, 65 RBI, and 17 stolen bases. His stolen base on Wednesday night against Chicago was the 60th of his career.
As seen above, Chourio has as many home runs as Ken Griffey Jr. before turning 23, and more stolen bases than perennial All-Star Julio Rodriguez.
What Chourio is doing in Milwaukee is nothing short of historic. To put this in better perspective, there are only three players ever to have three seasons with 20+ home runs and 15+ stolen bases before turning 23:
Of course, what makes the accomplishment all the more special this year is the fact that Chourio missed the first month of the season with a broken hand. Despite this, he is tied for the club lead in home runs and has arguably been their most consistent hitter over the course of the past few weeks of the season.
Just imagine what he will do once he hits his prime.
